Hello everybody.
I have nearly finished unit HSC213 but am not sure how to answer this question:-
Give 3 examples of different religions/cultures and the effect this has on the way food should be prepared, presented and eaten.

I used Jewish (don't eat certain foods such as pork and store some foods, cutlery and china etc separately); Hindus (Vegetarian) and Moslem (do not eat pork).

I need to expand but as domiliciliary support assistant I have no experience of how to deal with this other than reading the care plan for information and lieasing with family if possible.

We are only there for a limited time and not allowed to cook as such. Mainly chilled meals are micro-waved or simple snacks prepared such as toast or cereal. I would be grateful for any advice!

Hello Aunty Sue

Thank you for the link. It is very informative. I have decided that I will just give loads of information even if it is not relevant to my role as DSA.

Many thanks for you time and trouble.

Regards

Louisarose
